On October 11th 2015, Towpath Community Foundation Inc. and VanBortel Ford & Subaru will be conducting the 5th Annual Breast Cancer Ride and Run. Featuring 10, 25, and 50 mile family-friendly routes, this event is a great opportunity to contribute to an awesome local cause while having fun on your bike! Register for 2015 ride here.
In an effort to expand beyond the cycling community, we have partnered with Medved Running and Walking for a 5k Fun Run and 1 mile nature walk, offering runners and walkers the opportunity to raise awareness and funds for this great cause. And yes, there are going to be some really cool prizes.
The 5th Annual Breast Cancer Ride and Run strives to raise funds for breast cancer research while uniting local communities through raising awareness concerning the importance of breast health in a fun, supportive environment. A: No. The Ride is for anyone who wants to raise awareness for Breast Cancer, the Ride is a casual, fun ride and we welcome everyone to participate.
Q: Can I register the day-of the event?
A: Yes. Day of event registration is also available. But we'd like you to sign up early and raise money for this great cause.
Q: Do I have to raise additional money to participate in this ride?
A: We do not require you to raise additional funds for the ride, but we do encourage it. The ride registration fee is $40. Additional funds raised will go directly to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. You can set up a fund raising site through your registration on Active.com!
Q: Will there be food or snacks on the coures?
A: Yes. Thanks to our sponsors Palmers Foods, and Amiels' Subs there will be fruits, and snacks throughout the course, and lunch will be provided after.

PACKET PICKUP: Saturday, October 10, from 9:00am-12:00 pm at Towpath Bike
EVENT CHECK-IN: Check-in opens at 7:00 am for all events Ample parking at Stewart Lodge Parking Lot Cash and check donations can be turned in at registration table Day of registration will be open until 9:45 am; cash or check only
JERSEY PICKUP: Jerseys are available, so if you've raised your $250 get yours at packet pick-up. If not, get moving.
